Eeek... I guess I don't. There's a helicopter that falls out of the sky around here every other year. And the pilot has to do *five*(?) different things, simultaneously, just to take off and maintain level flight. We've only got four limbs :-) Lord help you if he/she/you gets sunblinded or otherwise incapacitated at the wrong time. I recall watching the helicopter chase scene during Terminator 2, and complaining to Dave that it was technically impossible for the T-1000 to fly the 'copter and shoot a handgun at the SWAT van at the same time. We rewound the DVD (heh), and Dave pointed out that the T-1000 actually had *three* blurry arms in that scene, one to actually shoot with, and the other two were busy with necessary details like the throttle/collective and cyclic stick and stuff. So that third arm is not a blooper. Just another example of the genius of Cameron...

I was hoping perhaps that a VTO(L) like the Harrier jump jet, in True Lies, might be a craft that's even cooler to fly. My uncle the pilot and FlightSim fanatic went and hinted, however, that if a helicopter is hard to fly, imagine what has to be done during any transition from vertical to horizontal flight.
