Ok my given name is pretty blah and common. But I fell in love with the name Dagmar a couple years ago (I have an obession with names) a German name that means Glorious. It is so cool sounding, pretty and diferent, but also strong and warrior-like. I would love to name my baby (imaginary future baby that is) Dagmar and it was so interesting to read your message. The only 'problem' I thought about the name is the possible nickname. Dag? Mar? Dag makes me think of when i was younger and if something was unbelievable we would say that phrase "DAG!!! I can't believe that!!!" I don't know if that was a popular phrase where you grew up, but it seems funny to me. Anyway I have kind of assumed Dagmar as my alias (as you can see from my e-mail) and I enjoy it! So of course I would have to (after finding him) get my husband (also future imaginary) to agree to name our daughter that, but you enjoy having that name? By the way, what state did yu grow up in?
