Well, my dad just got married this past Sunday. This is his fourth, and hopefully(!) his last. The gal he married is from China and he is American, so it was interesting. They got married here in California, and only her mom was able to make it here from China.

My dad had a unique experience with this one. Traditionally in America, the bride and her family take care of a lot of the details on where and when and what colors and the reception and the food, etc. etc. This time, because his bride is from another country, speaks little English and has no idea how to do an American wedding, he got to do it all. Needless to say, he had a rather stressful time for a while. I feel badly that I was not able to help him more, but i am busy with my own life, and barely have time to relax after work some days.

So be glad that you have help in your arrangements, and I hope they're being conducted in only one language! ;)
