I mean, i proposed to her a 2 weeks ago, but that was all pretty automatically, i had plans for that already since last year (i even mentionned it here), and so it was pretty normal, but afterwards i started to think about it, it's a pretty big step, not that i had doubts, but i never thought about it as being "a big step"; i found it all pretty normal: we were engaged, i would propose to her, and then we get married, and live the rest of our lifes together ... big deal!

I remember when Shannon and I were making our plans. We couldn't agree on anything. I wanted small, she wanted big. I wanted dark colors, she wanted pastels. I wanted to wear blue jeans, she wanted me in a tux. Finally I just threw up my hands and said, "Look, I love you and I'm gonna marry you. It doesn't matter to me where, when, or how. Just tell me where to be and I'll show up." And that's exactly what happened. We ended up with a moderately sized wedding. I did wear a suit, but no tux. The colors were pastels though. I guess she needed to hold on to that one. :o)
