Actually, in context, perhaps I should have said:

"An allusion the the illusion of elusion".

The first one sounds as if what's being alluded to is avoidance of façades, the second sounds either like the avoidance(possibly of the answer) is causing things to seem the way they are not, or as if the avoidance tactics *themselves* are faked.
