It's May, and that means...YES!! Two short weeks to go until this year's Incredibly Strange Film Festival. I just got the programme and tomorrow I'm booking tickets for three all-time greats.

I plan to see "Night of the Lepus", "Vampire Men of the Lost Planet", and "Zontar: the Thing From Venus." I'm debating whether to add "That's Education" (a collection of clips from those dreadful 1950s American educational films) and "The Sinful Dwarf".

I guess most of those titles are self-explanatory, and if they're any good I'll do IABBBBM reviews anyway, but I just have to quote some of the programme notes for "Night of the Lepus":

"What if a hormone experiment bred evil bunny rabbits the size of horses? What if they were filmed in slow motion? What if we used guys in bunny suits for additional scenes? What if we use stampede footage from old westerns? What if we had a cop screaming 'Ladies and gentlemen, there's a herd of giant killer rabbits heading this way'? What if it starred DeForest Kelly (Bones McCoy from Star Trek)? What if the whole affair was shot with a deadly seriousness similar to German propaganda films?....This is either one of God's greatest pranks on mankind or the most staggering cinematrocity in the history of motion pictures."

Oh, how I wish you could all be there with me.
