> Hey Uni., I found out his weekend that my parents are going to D.C. in a couple of weeks. I told them I'd ask you how they can find out tourist info. Mom is going on business and Dad is just going along. He needs something to do. I suggested a bus tour, and of course all of the normal landmarks and memorials, but I thought you could help out a little. I know you don't see things from a tourist viewpoint, but I thought you still might have a few good ideas.

alright, I'm actually gonna be a good girl and suggest the good tourist stuff to do in DC. I must say that I've never been on one of the bus tours, but they might be a good idea to get a good idea of where stuff is - also, I think on some of them you get an all-day pass and you can get off at anything you want to see then catch another bus later - I would suggest it. The White House is okay to see, but you have to get tickets early and stand in line... if it doesn't sound of interest, don't bother. The Capitol is awesome, though, I love it... that and Union Station are two of my favorite "pretty places" in DC. If he wants to see the Memorials (as in, Jefferson, Lincoln, etc.) I say go at night - they're really pretty when they're all lit up and lights are reflecting off of the river. Also, the Washington Monument is well worth going to - only open during the day, but gives an awesome view of DC.

I could recommend MY favorite museums, but in the interest of your parents having a good time, what are their interests? I'd rather point them towards places THEY would enjoy.
