True, while the ethnicity/appearance of the dumb individual in the joke could easily be changed to suit one's needs, this was the way I heard it. I know of another joke in which a blonde dyes her hair in order to make herself feel smarter. I suppose it could also be altered to suit one's needs simply by having the Pollack, or what have you, in some type of disguise to appear to be of another nationality. Do I have a point here? Well, I suppose it would be that it's usually pretty entertaining to make fun of stupid people regardless of what "group" they fall into even though most of the jokes are great exaggerations of just how lacking in common sense a single individual could be in reality.
