regrets

For the record, I did not find the work syntactial
in my dictionary. But after reading that thread, I began to wish I could have had some of the denizens of RinkWorks in some of my classes. I enjoy working with brains that think like that. Sure, I had some good students, but never enough really good thinkers. Sometimes I would go for days without hearing a good "why?"
Some of my students went on to become doctors, professors, ministers, lawyers, politicians, jail birds, computer geeks, writers, car salesmen, coaches, scientists, undertakers, actors, and musicians. But too many went on to become nothing. I guess we all have a few regrets.
