You almost hit on the easy way - open the message forum "all messages" page (it's a few hundred K), save it as text then import to Quark (or your favourite text editor). Do a text 'find and change' replacing your name with a suitable alternative. Any text editor worth its salt will then tell you how many instances have been changed.
