About 80-85% is tax, going direct to Her Majesty's Govt. Which keeps a few cars off the road, a good thing in a crowded island. Personally, I wouldn't mind if it were more and the cash spent on making public transport cheap and accessible... currently it costs me about $10/day in petrol to ride my bike to work but $40 if I have to take the train.
