In order to save money, I decided to take the hard drive out of the computer I currently have now and stick the cheapo one that I bought from Dell back into this crappy (ahem) Packard Bell computer, so that I can give it away without having it be useless (I'm giving it to my parents)!

Another thing to keep in mind is that if you have installed any Windows '9x programs on your machine that you are wanting to transfer, they will have updated the Registry when they were originally installed. There is no easy way to copy the registry in part. It can be transferred as a whole, if done correctly, but not really advisible unless you've done it before. The progs. most likely won't work without their registry entries, but you can re-install each one after you have transferred them. This will allow you to keep any files the progs. may have created, but will also re-create the registry entries.
