Ah, yes, that's true, except having owned pre-built computers in the past I can vouch for the fact that they rarely feel the need to include this information. You don't get manuals for anything other than what those mysterious holes with pins in them at the back of the case are for. If you don't have manuals, I suggest figuring out who made your HD (it's not going to be Dell or Packard Bell) and check out their website / give them a call. A friend of mine yanked his drive out of a PB and was pleasantly suprised to find no jumpers or labels. Fortunately the company was willing to help him out, and he currently has it running as a slave.
