You guys sure have some wacky weather. The most extreme we'll have here in the Northwest would be like this morning. You wake up to fog and about 36 degrees, and right now (see date/time stamp) it's sunny and probably in the 60's (I'm guessing, 'cause I haven't been outside since this morning).
Certainly, if it snowed, it would have been cold all day, and even threatening to snow for days leading up to the momentous occasion.
What I've seen in this thread reminds me of when I was in Washington D.C. in July of some year way back in seemingly a previous life. It was midday and very hot, plenty of sunshine in a cloudless sky. We went into the Capitol building, went through several security checks, and sat in on the Senate for a short period. (We got to see part of the roll call, whoopie!, which, by the way, they had to stop 3 times in order to tell the floor to quiet down.) We then promptly left only to find a turrential downpour outside. On several streets there was actual flooding. Trés bizarre.
