If you're anything like me, even after a few years, every now and then you'll just stop what you're doing, look at your child(ren) and say "Wow, I'm actually a dad."

That's a good, comfortable size; my daughter was nearly 10 pounds, and we seemed to miss out on having a fragile little thing that you can hold with only one hand. Good job on the "perfect" part. At one week old, you ain't heard crying yet. And brother, you AIN'T seen poopy yet, no way, no how. It gets much worse when they're eating solid food, would rather roll over and leave, reach down and touch his twinkie, or all at the same time.
Boys are different in that respect, because at one point, they become aware of an extra appendage that's always hidden within a diaper. So, when the diaper comes off, their hands explore, and if there's a major blowout that needs attending, you'll suddenly grow extra arms to hold both hands, both legs, and a wipe all at the same time.
Don't even think about trying to prepare for this; there's no such thing.

Excellent job with not hesitating to show photos. If you ever hesitate to distribute photos, you'll be stuck with the whole package. Quite frankly, at this age, photos expire fast. Why would grandma want the 3-month photo, when you've got a 6-month on hand?

Congratulations. And welcome to the best part of your life.
