The reason I bring this up, is that after watching Washington in a few scenes, I picked him as an Academy Award contender. Not for that movie. It had a too much stuff that had been done before, but the two leads were great and worked well together. Can somebody prime my brain on this?

Nope. Not one of those. Could have been a made for TV epic. I wish I knew the blonde lady's name. She was on her way from Mississippi to Washington, D.C. for Kennedy's funeral and some how got envolved with a black man who had a little girl with him. I guess it's not important.
