One thing, though, is that I don't blame the parents that much. They said that they knew very little about the things that their sons were doing. However, I still think that the teasing and ostracizing of the rest of the student body contributed to the eruption of violence.
I was teased, ridiculed, and verbally abused to varing degrees in all the schools I went to, especially during my 8th and 9th grade years. But when I went home I had parents who knew what was going on in my life, knew when something was wrong, and would comfort, and support me. I love my parents for this, but I don't think it was something I neccesarely went out of there way to do, they were just good parents.
