Where I live, it rains for three quarters of the year, and so I have grown to yearn for the occasional sunny day. I come close to hating the rain during long stretches of it.

However, I know that without the near constant drizzle, sunny days wouldn't be nearly as pleasing. First, the novelty would wear off, but most importantly, the area wouldn't even be close to as green and vibrant as it is.

In any case, thanks to all of you who wrote about your love for the rain. It's good to hear it described so beautifully once in a while.
