What can I say ? I love rain and I love lightning. I thought I was unusual.

As a five year old, I used to love taking off all my clothes and running out in the rain. I'd even find that some of the other kids in the street would too. Hail was always the best fun. At least when it was small !
Now, I tend to think about my neighbours before taking to the streets, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the rain.

And the lightning.

I've always been interested in alternate sources of energy. Solar power, wind, water (do I sound like one of the planeteers ?) there are phenomenal amounts of energy released in a normal rain storm, and this amount goes up even more when there is lightning.

Your average rain cloud contains three tonnes of water, but cumulo nimbus clouds.... They also stretch a few kilometres into the air.

The numbers involved are (to my mind) truly awe inspiring.

I don't believe in God. I am not religious. But if there were one thing that could change my mind, this would be it.
