I hear its a renter's dream in New Hampshire. I happen to live in the country in CT, so I rent an apartment cheaply. I also live about twenty minutes from the MA border, ten from RI. I also work up in MA, so getting gasoline there isn't out of my way. I do know that apartments in and around Boston are extremely expensive, as when my company moved to the Boston area I considered moving as well but found it was simply too expensive. I can't imagine paying twice as much for an apartment half the size of what I have now.

I've also heard that living is cheap down south (in the Carolinas area) but I can't imagine living that far from home.
