I filled up for 17$ yesterday right on the Mass. Pike, out near Springfield. 99 cents a gallon, and I spotted gasoline for even less on route 7 North. I'm talking the lowest grade Mobil. Sunoco gets down to 95 cents somewhere between Charlton and Southbridge (I'm not sure exactly where -- I was lost when I saw it).

I had stated earlier that gasonline in CT was 1.29. But when I went out I noted it's actually 1.09 right down the street. I think the prices have shot down in the last few months, which might explain your memory of prices being higher. I think prices in the area went down. But then I really don't have any specifics on that...just a vague memory of someone talking about it.

I have no idea where Greenfield, MA is.
