One needs be careful, however. Back in '94 (oh no - I'm telling more "back in the day" stories!), I frequented many local BBSes (the Internet was fairly new at the time, and not many peoiple were very involved with it). Greenfield was practically "BBS Mecca," actually. We had many deep, intelligent conversations at first, but, after a while, it became a bunch of people spouting garbage, despite the best efforts of the SysOps (I was one of them). My point - and there is one in here - is that there is no way to check widespread crap, because the SysOp (or webmaster, or whatever) can't just delete tons and tons of posts because they aren't what he was looking for. Seven out of sixteen-hundred and sixty isn't bad, but if they pick up dramatically and it ends up being two-hundred out of three-thousand (when we get to three-thousand, that is), what would be done? Can you really just delete two-hundred posts?

You never deleted any of *my* stupid nonsense. :-}
