Not Evil, Just Villainized, I'll grant you (even if you did misspell villain), but you're going to have to justify "rightful Queen of England".
Her dad was just a duke from down south somewhere. He may have tried to *become* the King of England, but the fact that he failed is a fairly significant plot point.

And even if he had succeeded
a) Morgan had two elder sisters
b) women didn't inherit crowns and stuff anyway, as I recall
