I accomplished more than I expected with that post. I got you talking to your dad. That let you see that sometimes dads are right and you got a few good stories from his youth. I like your dad, and I don't even know him! Tell him he needs a vintage scooter. A Vespa maybe. They are a lot of fun. My first old Cushman was restored as a father-son project. It greatly improved the relationship between us and we've shared some really good times tinkering with scooters.
