> Seperate, yes. Equal? Not by a long shot. I worked in the bus station luncheonette. It was bright, airy, cafe' with counter service and tables with a juke box. Black people stayed in the "colored waiting room" with an entrance in the back next to the garbage cans. They bought sandwiches through a small window into the kitchen and ate sitting on wooden benches. Nothing equal there.
