Absolutely. As I mentioned in the chat forum, one must be cautious to separate attitudes and actions from the people that hold or do them. (Separate the sin from the sinner, so to speak, hating the sin and loving the sinner.) It's important not to be racistist -- that is, hatred of racists -- while at the same time hating racism. It's an important lesson to learn, and one I confess I have not. Intellectually I know it very well, as I can state it plainly in theoretical discussions such as this one. But when I'm on the road, I can become a raving tailgatist with just the slightest provocation.
