Well, shoot. Now that Sam has gone and referred to your "ongoing" lateral thinking puzzle in the
RinkWorks news email update, I'm practically FORCED, kicking and screaming, to keep guessing
at this thing, lest we disappoint the teeming masses who keep up with minute RinkWorks site
changes. :-)

1) Are Brian and Charles similarly each missing one of their arms, like Arthur?

2) Is this Arthur's attempt to fulfill some kind of grotesque agreement made between the three
men in an earlier chapter of their lives?

3) More specifically: were they all shipwrecked on a desert island, starving to death, and agreed
that each day, one of them would contribute his arm to make a stew, but the day after Brian and
Charles surrendered their arms, they were all rescued, and only now are Brian and Charles
demanding that Arthur fulfill his end of the bargain?

4) Am I unbelievably brilliant and insightful, or did I simply encounter a very similar lateral-
thinking puzzle a few years ago? (Hint: "yes.") :-)
