Well, I know that the official Mandarin spelling is standardized (pinyin), but the Cantonese isn't. The newspaperese version is "K'ung hei fat choy," but that is not correct, so I spelled the greeting the way I hear it around here :-)

And Chinese New Year celebrations last more than one day; it's more like a week. Heh, heh
