I am posting a part of a letter from my sister in California. This is on the level and I did not make it up. She would varify this if she knew I had posted it, and then she would kill me. That's why I didn't include her name.

I got a letter today addressed to the family of (name deleted, but it's my sister). It said
,"the HCFA has recently notified us of the death in your family. Please
accept out condolences.
The coverage for (name deleted, still my sister) ceased Jan.1,2000. " This was sent to me today
from Blue Cross of CA my old HMO!!!!! I called them up and told them that the
news of my death had been greatly exaggerated.They told me to call Medicare
and they definately said that I was not dead. What a relief!!!! The kids
didn't even know.
I have heard of these deals messing up for years so I called them back and
they said I am right I am not dead. So they are going to send a letter
stating that I am alive in case anybody asks. I am sure my doctor would like
to know because by Thurs rigor mortis may have set in and there would be no heart beat.I will let you know who else thinks I am dead when I get the mail.

Now is that a computer error or a human error? Anyway, I have sent her an on-line sympathy card.
