Name: Hugo Hays a.k.a.: Purple Haze (sometimes referred to as The Vaporizer by the media)
5"-10", 170 lbs, naturally purple hair

Superpower: He has the ability to alter his molecular structure from a solid into a vapor at will. This is particularly useful in entering locked buildings or rooms via a small crack or hole. The Vaporous one has also found it quite easy to pick locks by simply turning a finger into a light mist, inserting it into the keyhole, and manually moving the mechanism from the inside. This ability takes approximately two full seconds to take place, so as long as he sees the villain's weapon in time, he can easily dodge it. He, however, cannot reconstitute himself into any other form but his own.
Additionally, he has been able to extend this power onto other people with extreme concentration, however, only in a localized area of their body, and irreversibly. There have been 2 instances in which he's vaporized someone's head and killed them, but he'd rather not talk about it.

Energy Drain: Equivalent to jogging, so as long as he's in good shape, he can maintain his hazy form for a pretty long time.

Non-Super Skills: 20/10 eyesight; great with projectile weapons (guns, bows), but not so much at hand-to-hand

Motivation: Growing up, he was frequently ridiculed for having purple hair. He totally despises anyone who hurts other people for their own personal gain.

Location: He's currently a drifter; he's by himself looking for a purpose.

Personality: More analytical than impulsive; good at problem solving after listening to other's ideas and determining the best solution; often mumbles to himself when thinking through a problem. He has an odd sense of humor and tends to laugh at inappropriate moments.

Family: Even though he's by himself, he frequently sends postcards to his parents from wherever he's at. He left his hometown of Plain City, Pennsylvania after growing tired of working in his father's hardware store for so long.

Footnote: Shortly after obtaining this ability and always reconstituting naked, he hooked up with a genius with textiles and created some clothing that will vaporize with him, coincidentally it resembles the obligatory superhero spandex.
