the most up to date idea for a hoverboard is the ion containment field method. simply put, large amounts or air are ionized and then "trapped" under the board by a strong magnetic field. you can ionize air simply by running a HeNe laser through the center of a magnetic ring. the trouble comes in around controling the magnetic field to keep the ions trapped at further distances without letting them escape. also, only the one type of ion (+ or -) can be used, do that it can repel itself off the ground. any q's, just e-mail me at fyreyez@netzero.net latez
