I'm going to have to get my wife's mother on RinkWorks. She's 83. During the last week of 1999, we took her to Kennesaw, Georgia, and it was the first time she had ever been out of Tennessee.
She's seen Nashville, but has never been as far east as Knoxville or as far West as Memphis. On the way back from Georgia, we went through Chattanooga, and it was the first time she had seen that city. (Or that overgrown town, if you want to be accurate.)Lookout Mountain was the tallest mountain she had ever seen and the Tennessee River was the widest river.
Her impression of Georgia was, "They sure do have a lot of tall, straight trees."
She looks about 20 years younger than she really is, and I'm sure she will live to be a hundred, so I may talk her into a trip to Hawaii some day.
So far, she says no, but I keep trying.
Howard
