Well, New Year's Eve we went Y2K shopping (again), an act whose futility became evident the moment I heard the lights had stayed on in Fiji and China. At the Costco the guy said they had made 300 chickens that day. It was Y2Chicken time! Well, we went and made that 302 chickens, and got some other stuff, and were "fashionably late" to my cousin's house. Among other things we played a rather.. um.. interesting game of Disney Charades, where one of the clues given for John Smith from Pocahontas invloved the founder of the Mormon Church, and another clue for a different character involved my dad's maternal great-uncle. (And the clue for Willy the giant involved bad odors and Spanish. Don't ask.)
One interesting thing I noticed- the 2000 sign in New York lit up about half a second late.
