Heh...The really scary thing is that "SCSI" is pronounced "scuzzy". Don't ask ME why...and Howard, blame it on whoever invented that technology, not me.

And I'm led to think that the answer to your question about the difference between scan and pre-scan is that it's just a part of the English language. Another example of that phenomenon would be heat versus pre-heat-- is there really much of a difference between them? [Dave, don't answer.]
