Moxie is one of the oldest sodas there is. The only area I know one can get it, though, is in New England. It has a somewhat overbearing flavor, similar to Sasparilla but much stronger and weirder. It has a cult following here in New England, which means that a small percentage of us thrive of it, while the rest of us, and the rest of the world, wonder what in the world is wrong with us.

Would you like Moxie? I'll put it to you this way. If you don't like Dr. Pepper, you don't have a prayer. Compared to it, Dr. Pepper is just carbonated water.

Do I like it? I drink a partial can every couple of years just to prove I'm man enough to endure it.
