In the RinkChat recently, Sam asked for a six-line poem about the Filmmaker's Exam that doesn't really reference to it (yeah, he used reference as a verb). I said that it would be hard to do that, and he said that, no, it would be easy, because most poetry is filled with similes and metaphors and nature and such. So I made one up and told it to him, and he liked it but said it's not what he was looking for. So, I'm sharing it and a few others with you all today.

FILMMAKER'S EXAM
Movies cause Dave Parker pain
Oh, the agony in the brain
Like a woodpecker on a tree that's dead
Dave feels like he's being chopped in the head
Like a bee pollinating a daffodil
He just tries to help so we don't get ill

RINKCHAT
Dave makes noodly glop
He and famous got married
The wonders of chat

I had three screen names
Then famous faked another
Saying it was me

RINKWORKSWOCKY
'Twas RinkChat, and the PNF
Did change the snookums into pigs;
Genderless was the Brunenn-G,
And the forum was big.

'Beware the Reader Poll, my son!
The questions asked are too bizarre!
Beware the Poetry Pool, too!
It hasn't opened yet!'

He took his precious mouse in hand:
Long time the chat archives he sought!
So rested he by the FNG
And made up names like "Maught".

And as through RinkWorks he perused,
He found a page, with gleaming eye:
The Contests page, with anagrams!
He thought 'twas worth a try.

One, two! One two! And through and through
He generated anagrams!
He went to sites, but all he got
Was "Female Trek Mix Hams!"

'And hast thou failed the Contest Five?
Well, that's OK, There's more to see.
There's lots to do on RinkWorks here!
Like Space Force Academy!"

'Twas RinkChat, and the PNF
Did change the snookums into pigs;
Genderless was the Brunenn-G,
And the forum was big.
