I have successfully convinced my mother, by means of my incredible cunning and charm, to get rid of the internet filter currently in place. Of course, this is only because I also convinced her that there's a filter built into the computer that she can activate, which will block pron and stuff without blocking chat and free web pages and suchlike things. I don't know if this built-in filter will actually work as it's intended... but hey, so long as I can get back to doing normal things I'm happy! Yaye me!
