Heh, I just recieved a small little program we all know and love called HAPPY99.EXE Now of course I didn't actually execute this program, and my virus scanner probably wouldn't let me anyhow, but what scared me is that the server here on campus actually let it through. I asked what kind of filter they had running for Trojans and they said "Just Norton". The problem with that is that Norton is a virus scanner, not a filter. It will recognize Trojans when they are trying to be executed, but cannot find them simply based on the name of the file. Someone who knows a bit more about software and Internet/Intranet Mail Servers than I do will need to answer this question for me, but isn't there a way to filter certain filenames from being E-Mailed, regardless of the files content? I mean can't the University set up a filter to not allow ANY file with the name HAPPY99.EXE from being allowed to come through?
Just curious.
