Easy question. As a child I dreamed of going all over the country and seeing things I had only heard about. My Uncle Jim toured the west in 1938. He saw the Painted Desert, Grand Canyon, the Redwood Forest, Yellowstone, the Golden Gate, El Paso, Los Angles including Hollywood, Great Salt Lake, the Badlands, and all those places that dreams are made of. (Oops! Dangling preposition.)
I also saw pictures in books and magazines, but alas, it was World War II and nobody was going anywhere unless they were in service. Then beginning about 1968, we bought a pop up camper and struck out for Myrtle Beach, Cape Cod, Detroit, San Francisco, Key West, Mt. Rushmore etc. and we just kept going. Next month is California for the umpteenth time (by air, this time). Then Florida in Feb. and maybe Hawaii in March. Europe still loom just over the horizon. Yes, I guess you could say that I am realizing my dreams, and a few things I never dreamed of.(There it is again!)
