Here is a transcript of a RinkChat conversation from Fri 10 Dec A.D. 1999, with irrelevant statements weeded out, and edited for spelling and such, and also with some notes of mine inserted in brackets. Yes, it's a small world is supposed to be lowercase:

[I had been talking about Disneyland, grateful that someone had brought it up and I wouldn't have to try to steer the conversation in that direction]

MORRIS: Fun rides I went on yesterday: Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Main Street Cinema, Fire Engine, Jungle Cruise, Roger Rabbit, Honey I Shrunk The Audience, Rocket Rods, Star Tours, it's a small world (best viewed on a hot day because of the nice breeze inside), Mad Tea Party, and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

*Brunnen_G almost goes insane at the evil memory of "it's a small world".

MORRIS: Brunnen, it was a holiday "small world".

BRUNNEN_G: Morris: I know, I went on that ride ... unless they've changed it since I was there. It was the most intensely irritating thing I've ever imagined.

KIKI: The SONG.... now it'll be stuck in my head all night!

MORRIS: Brunnen, I've been going on it almost every time I go there, so i'm somewhat used to it...besides, it was a special HOLIDAY version with "Jingle Bells" shoved in there between verses of the regular song.

BRUNNEN_G: Kiki: I know, me too. After just 30 seconds on that ride I was ready to tear my own head off if that was what it took to stop hearing it ...

KIKI: It's a small jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the world after all....

MORRIS: Well, it's a good way to cool off if you're hot and you bring your own headphones to drown out the singing.

[Nyperold enters approximately now]

BRUNNEN_G: We're talking about Morris's trip to Disneyland, Nyperold.

SHANDAR: Dashing through the small, small world...interesting.

*Kiki laughs

MORRIS: I would have gone on "Indiana Jones", except it was CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BRUNNEN_G: OOH! Indiana Jones ride? I need to go to Disneyland again. It's been too long.

MORRIS: And do you know what else? INDIANA JONES OPENS TODAY!

*Nyperold once went to DisneyWorld... about 15(?) years ago...

MORRIS: It was closed for refurbishments, and it's opening back up today!

LIFACE: Thats bad.

LIFACe: "Indiana Jones" was my favorite ride.

NYPEROLD: ...and Epcot about 10 years ago.

[about this point, I scold Nyperold for bringing up Disneyworld and say that I just got finished with an argument about it]

MORRIS: But! I do get to go to Disneyland three more times this month!

MORRIS: And! On two of those days I get to go in early!

MORRIS: So! I will go on "Indiana Jones" over and over and over until the park opens!

NYPEROLD: Don't worry, I don't have any experience with DL to make a comparison... I guess the worst thing for me is that it's 1000s of mi. away.

BRUNNEN_G: Not as far away as from me, Nyp. *longing for
Disneyland*...

Anyway, I had a wonderful time at Disneyland on Thu 9 Dec A.D. 1999. Here is an overview of the park, with some things missing because I didn't go.

LANDS
TOMORROWLAND
Nicely spiffed up, except for a little bit of excessiveness on the gold side.

MAIN STREET USA
Nice, tidy. I'm sure it would feel very authentic if it didn't have a hundred people walking around in jeans and sweatshirts.

ADVENTURELAND
Very nicely done. Good atmosphere.

NEW ORLEANS SQUARE
Small, but very well done. Nice "back alleys". I've never heard of any other theme park doing that.

FRONTIERLAND
Good upkeep of the atmoshphere. It's nice to see a place that honors "the Pioneers of the American West" and doesn't sit there telling you about how the evil white man tortured the Native Americans and such.

FANTASYLAND
Good. A lot of rides for the younger children, and rides from back when the get-in-the-car-and-ride-around-while-the-doors-automatically-open-for-you were way exciting.

MICKEY'S TOONTOWN
They did an extremely good job at making this place look cartoony. Kudos to whoever designed it. I want them to redecorate my house!

RIDES AND ATTRACTIONS

DISNEYLAND RAILROAD
Good if you have a lot of time. Some areas can be kind of cool.

MAIN STREET CINEMA
Great classic Disney cartoons. Good background music, too. When I went in there, though, I started dancing to the music. Then my eyes adjusted and I saw five people standing there staring at me. Oops. Be careful.

FIRE ENGINE
Nice way to get around.

HORSE-DRAWN STREETCARS
Terrible way to get around, unless you happen to like horses.

THE WALT DISNEY STORY, FEATURING "GREAT MOMENTS WITH MR. LINCOLN"
Boring as a rock. And we're not talking the interesting rocks. We're talking the really boring rocks that really bore you because they're really boring.

COUNTRY BEAR PLAYHOUSE
(see "THE WALT DISNEY STORY, FEATURING 'GREAT MOMENTS WITH MR. LINCOLN'")

DAVY CROCKETT'S EXPLORER CANOES
Went on these when I was five. I got really tired and I don't recall ending up anywhere.

SPLASH MOUNTAIN
This is a FUN ride if you like roller coasters, which I don't.

BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN RAILROAD
Another one for the roller coaster crowd. Hated it, but youy might love it.

FANTASMIC!
This is spiffy. See it. The next time, go on rides instead while everyone is watching it.

MARK TWAIN RIVERBOAT
Another nice, leisurely ride. I saw a set of Siamese twins on it. Two arms, two legs, two heads. They were small little girls, probably about five years old. Yellow dress.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Great fun for those madly obsessed with the Alice stories, like I am.

DUMBO, THE FLYING ELEPHANT
Goes too high for my tastes. I don't go in the air. I don't even fly.

FANTASYLAND AUTOPIA
I heard this was closed forever. It wasn't on my map.

"IT'S A SMALL WORLD"
Terrifying. Good, though, if you need to cool off and you are deaf.

KING ARTHUR CARROUSEL
Nice, leisurely ride, just like the Mark Twain thing, except it's not on water and I didn't see that girl on the carrousel.

MAD TEA PARTY
Great fun. What you need to do is get five muscular men who have been working out four hours every day for the last ten years and get them all into one teacup to spin the wheel. It can be hard to spin the wheel with just one person.

MATTERHORN BOBSLEDS
Another roller-coaster-bunch ride.

MR. TOAD'S WILD RIDE
Fun, but not more than once or twice a day,

PETER PAN'S FLIGHT
Great fun; unfortunately, 'twas closed the day I went.

PINOCCHIO'S DARING JOURNEY
Not so daring, not so interesting.

SLEEPING BEAUTY CASTLE
A walker. It goes through the whole story.

SNOW WHITE'S SCARY ADVENTURES
From what I can remember, somewhat interesting.

STORYBOOK LAND CANAL BOATS
I like this, but my mom hates it.

THE HAUNTED MANSION
Fun!!!!!

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN
Fun!!!!! Also, I started working on a new RinkDialect on this ride on about the second time through.

THE DISNEY GALLERY
Nice pictures.

ENCHANTED TIKI ROOM
Good, if you need a nap.

INDIANA JONES™ ADVENTURE
Great fun! Amazing!

JUNGLE CRUISE
Very funny.

TARZAN™'S TREEHOUSE
Not quite interesting, but more interesting than the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, which it recently replaced.

DONALD'S BOAT
Not good for going on over and over and over, seeing as how you just go through. Still, it can be a relaxing break.

JOLLY TROLLEY
Neat way to get from Point A to Point B. I wish OUR car had a revolving wind-up key on top.

MICKEY'S HOUSE AND MEET MICKEY
Not much appeal for those over seven.

MINNIE'S HOUSE
(see "MICKEY'S HOUSE AND MEET MICKEY")

ROGER RABBIT'S CAR TOON SPIN
This is one of the more fun of the car-goes-from-scene-to-scene-by-way-of-automatically-opening-doors ride. You can spin. Watch for the giant hole effect near the end. Don't let the short line from outside fool you. The line winds around inside in hidden hallways.

DISNEYLAND MONORAIL
A nice time, but closed until February.

HONEY, I SHRUNK THE AUDIENCE
Neat movie, glad they found something of quality to replace that awful "Captain EO". Although they say the front row is the "splash zone", I didn't get wet at all up there. I'm still trying to fogure out the mouse-on-the-leg trick.

ROCKET RODS
It may be along the People Mover track, and it may have one of the People Mover cars on display, but it is NOT the People Mover. This thing is FAST! It's fun, but at some parts I got scared. Yeah, I get scared when I'm in a fast vehicle, out in the open, on a track, swerving around sharp turns at what seems like a hundred miles per hour, thirty feet above the ground.

STAR TOURS
This is fun. This is probably the only thing relating to Star Wars I'll ever like.

TOMORROWLAND AUTOPIA
Wasn't open my most recent turn, but from what I remember, it's fun. For those of us who can't yet drive, it's hard not to bump into stuff (the sides, cars ahead of you, pedestrians, etc.)
