A rose is a rose, and it's a great thing! posted by famous on Friday, December 10, 1999, at 09:06:40:

Unfortunatly there is no one in the chat room right now. So, I guess I'll post a little, and hope that Sam finds it worthy of keeping. > > I got a rose the other day. Not from a guy, but from a class. We had some presentations in a management class I was in, and one group did it on Nordstrom's (shoe store). At their openings, Nordstrom's always has a buffet with flowers everywhere. (Or at least, that's what the group says.) So, they had roses and at the end gave all the roses they had to everyone in the class. I think roses are the best. When I find someone for me, he will win me over if he sends me roses. I've never gotten them from anyone and I think it would be incredibly romantic. The one rose I have now is sitting right next to me. It has a long stem and is open to full bloom. It's smell just makes me smile. I'm thinking of buying myself a rose every week, just so I can keep it by my computer. One is good enough, and that way, with one a week, I'll never see them go really bad. It would be kind of nice, and it does brighten up the room. > > I hope I haven't bored you all. I'm trying my best to change my outlook on somethings and be more positive. I've been rather cynical lately. Of course, you all may or may not have realized that. > > fam 'all smiles' ous
An even better thing is to buy a miniature rosebush in a pot to keep by your computer. That way you have the scent, and the rose, and it is alive for you always.
