Heh-heh, I didn't think anyone would get that reference. "Short Round" and "Chainsaw" were names of old "Bard's Tale III" characters I had from back in the C64 era. Other illustrious party members were "Ready Rock" the paladin, "Miss Led" the hunter, and some mages whose names I can't remember.

A friend of mine named his three Bard's Tale mages "The Good", "The Bad" and "The Ugly". His paladin's name was "Raisin Bran". Combat sequences were hysterical: "The Ugly casts Fist of Tarjan at the kobolds...Raisin Bran swings at an orc, but misses!" These sobriquets are somehow more appealing to me even now than some of the names that have been surfacing in Dave's progress reports from Robert Jordan's _Wheel_of_Time_ series. "Nynaevae" (or whatever)????
