That's actually a good possibility, as I read a lot of Koontz and some Cook when I was in junior high/high school (the time frame in which I believe I began the story).

You just did. :) I generally stumble on posting boards and discussion groups, and very few appeal to me as useful, intelligent forums. Most are full of spam and cries of porn. One which I frequent out of habit has been reduced to "Happy Birthday"s "Merry Christmas"s and *gag* "huggles". Most of the intelligent life has fled, and what little of the old crew is left is spiteful and bored. And yet, it was once a little haven, just like RinkWorks. Beware RinkFolk, for dark days may yet come to this happy board.
For now I'm enjoying a relaxing stay at RinkWorks. And if that means I never read the end of the story, so be it.

I'll save it for a day I'm feeling explorative. (Did I just make a word up?)

Surely!
