I get that same wondering feeling about hearing my name and how long it takes to be shortened, although in my case, how long it takes a new acquaintance to rhyme with my name. I do not think that there is a single word in the English and possibly German language that rhymes with my name that I have not heard. Luckily, normally the rhyming is in a positive form nowadays. I suffered from "Shelley's belly is full of smelly jelly" for years and years which has now methamorphasized (just pretend that's a word :oP) into something I rather like, normally Shell-Bell. Although my brother still calls me Ollie from when he couldn't pronounce the "sh" sound. I like that too.

I was recently dubbed "Shelley Red Beans and Rice" by my best friend's boyfriend (who has never met me) for no apparent reason other than his desire for creativity. Don't think it'll stick for long though. (o:
