Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner, but for the train station puzzle the key thing you might have been missing is that you can jump to/from the train diagonally (for example if it were at A-6 to E-6, and the F-6 lift was DOWN, and you were at F-5, you could jump southwest to E-6 (east side of train) and then southeast to F-7 to the south side of the tracks). So basically the puzzle was to gradually move the train over bit by bit, with lifts having to be moved down to be out of the way, but such that you could still get to/from the train control room).

If you head over to Eincrast Castle there's a place within where you can find mana mushrooms and stock up (five at a time, then you have to wait a while for more to come back).
