TOA ladder, nerds, bus, and gun

I can't find neither the ladder nor the sledgehammer.

My nerds are stuck at kkkk-curses! I can't do anything but talk to them, and they haven't given me anything to fetch yet. I get the same reply every time.

V & S are at the bus. I know how to get to its roof. I lack the gun.

Any help appreciated.
