Vampire Island - stake

I'm stuck, and none of the previous posts are of any help.
My inventory:
bottle of acid
box of matches
bucket filled with water (somehow I doubt I'll need that again)
crowbar
digital watch
rope
rose
small metal key
small silver cross
sword
threatening note
werewolf's fang

I've taken care of Mr. Hyde, the alligator, the mummy, and the werewolf. Spoken to the cloaked figure, "reassured" the creature.

I'm fairly sure I need a stake for Dracula, but I'm beginning to feel that I'll spend the rest of the game climbing trees. Please help!
