Hold on Dracamas, Oklahoma rednecks are pale alongside us Tennessee rednecks. But seriously, if you want to make fun of us, go rent that old movie called Primary Colors. It goes out of the way to make us look like amoral, foul-mouthed, iknerramisis.

Since I made the mistake of mentioning that movie, I guess I'll have to review it a bit. There were some good performances in it. Larry Hagman had a small part which he played to the hilt. The man looked a little funny, but he's a really good actor. I never saw Kathy Bates turn in a bad role yet. I always hate her, and it takes tallent to be that consistant. Travolta, does a good Bill Clinton in that flick, but at the same time he put in a good performance. Who was that black guy? He was really good in that role. I can just hear the producers and directors planning that movie:
"Okay, we got John to do Clinton. Now who are we going to get to play counter-point? Does anybody know a good-lookin' young, articulate, black guy?" I thought it was strange the way it began with some good slapstick and a few laughs, then got seriouser and seriouser. (I like that better than more serious.) By the time the end finally dragged into view is almost a tear-jerker. Still I liked it and might have loved it with a little less cussin'.
