Nimbly sidestepping the crux of the question, isn't this the first time a movie of the MUSICAL of Les Mis has been made? Not counting filmed stage productions, of course. There are a indeed a million adaptations of the novel, but I was kind of shocked to discover that roughly none of them were of the musical.

Also, I love that this is worded like it's a comic exaggeration. But the extended LotR trilogy amounts to almost 11 and a half hours, so it's not much of one.

Question: Will the three Hobbit movies add up to more or less than that?
