Murkon's Vengeance level 9

I made it through the maze after getting to level 9, but when I tried to continue I ran into a party of adventurers much stronger than any I've seen before. The monsters I brought from level 10 were almost useless and died in the first run, and now I'm forced to take them on alone.
I think it might be possible with luck and lots of reloading, but is there some trick here I'm missing? All I can think of is repeatedly casting a spell and immediately running, but even then I tend to die before escaping.
